Chop Chop!

I finally did it - I finally cut it off. Here's how it happened: A couple of months ago my friend (and hairstylist), Lisa approached me about cutting my hair off for the "makeover" session that we were having at our church retreat. Lisa and I serve on the women's ministry team together and had been talking about how fun it would be to have a couple of ladies willing to get "makeovers". Well, when Lisa asked me if I would be one of the "guinea pigs" I felt as though I shouldn't turn her down - I mean, if someone asks you to get a makeover - what bigger hint do you need. So, I agreed.
The bottom picture is, obviously, the before. The middle picture is her chopping off my pony tail - which I will donate to locks for love - we did this about 10 p.m. in my kitchen. The third is the after - I took this picture the day after the makeover.
It feels SO good.

Sprinkles

We got a sprinkle or two today. Olivia goes right for the strawberry shortcake umbrella whenever it even looks like it might rain. I was going to take a picture of her & Lane jumped in the picture -shock. Ususlly he is running from the camera - which is usually in my hand - so he is running from me often!

Cam the Croc

Tonight we had a "jungle party" at the boy's school. This was the second time he performed this play today. The first time was during school for the other grades. After school Lane told me that Cam shook his booty at the audience during his first performance. I flipped out and yelled at Cam to not ruin the Melsa name :-) - he, with crocodile tears, told me that he was supposed to shake his booty during the dance. I felt bad. But it did turn out that he shook his booty to the point of almost pulling a booty muscle and was the talk of the school. The play was cute. As we tucked the boys in Luke told Cam that crocodiles needed good sleep at night and Cam said "dad, crocodiles are nocturnal...duh"

Bald Baby

Yesterday I came home from work and my precious pumpkin looked like a different baby! Luke thought it was so funny that his hair was falling out in chunks. I (acting like a first-time mom) went straight to the phone and called my doctor (even though it was after-hours). As I am telling her about the issue I remember that right at 3-4 months this is normal. I, myself, have lost about 1/2 my hair, which isn't so bad seeing that I had too much to start out with. Ryder, also had a full head of hair, so he still has a little to play with -
but now we are unable to do the mohawk.

Finished!

We are done in the bathroom. I am very pleased with how it turned out, and guess what? I did the floor all by myself! (Don't look too closely:-) I love our new faucets. Never thought I would get so excited over faucets! All that we have left is little touch-ups, hanging pictures and decorating. Next is the "office". I haven't told Luke yet....

Here are my boys! Always doing something that makes me nervous.

Fun at the park

I took Olivia and Ryder to the park. It was a beautiful day.

Bathroom

About a month ago I felt domestic and decided I wanted to paint the red bathroom a chocolate brown. Well, after completing about 75% of the room I decided I didn't like it. But by this time I was sick of painting. So - we hired a handyman to come in and fix my mess. I am excited b/c he is putting in new faucets, framing the mirror, changing the lighting and putting down new flooring. I will post a picture when completed.

Valentines Party 2-8-06

Today we went to a Valentines Party at church. I took Olivia and Ryder while the boys were at school. Olivia had so much fun. She sat at one "station" for 30 mintues just coloring. Such a difference between boys and girls! Ryder fell asleep amongst all the toddler noise, but as soon as I took him to a quiet room to sleep he woke right up! Not use to silence I guess. We had fun.

Second day of February

This is what we are usually doing during the week around 3:30...boys doing their homework. Ryder is sitting in his high chair for the first time today. He also started rolling from his back to his stomach (although his arm gets kinda stuck under him). I took him back to the endocronologist this morning for a check-up. The Dr. said he looks good and healthy. We will find out the results from the blood work in a week or so. Olivia hung out with daddy at church while we went. She loves to go to work with him. Especially since he has lots of candy in his candy jar.
Lane has his first soccer practice tomorrow. Luke took him out to get shin guards, shoes and a ball. I think he is more excited about his new cool soccer shoes than actually playing the sport.
I better get to bed-
