OOOOOKLAHOMA....is our new home

Ryder amongst the unpacking.
We have come a long way since Thursday - although, still a lot of boxes to unpack, decorating to be done and pictures to be hung. I have a feeling that the closets and under the beds will be off limits for a while - that is where a lot of "stuff" is going until we find a home for it. We checked out the boy's new school yesterday. Looks really great. They met their teachers and all the staff. Everyone seems very friendly and excited for new kids. Definitely different in the small town life.

Blaze is confused....really nothing new about that

Random goofiness

I love it when they are this goofy! Especially when I have my camera ready!!! Their favorite thing is to imitate Jack Black from the movie Nacho Libre. They're pretty good.

Fishing with Mr. Doug

Cam loves to go fishing with Mr. Doug - our neighbor and one of our best friends. He is an awesome fisherman! I went to the ponds that they were fishing at to take pics and I was amazed at how well Cam can fish. Doug has taught him very well!

Austin

My precious niece, Campbell

She already has 4 teeth- makes for a beautiful smile!

She really loves me! ;-) kinda favors me too huh?

Campbell and Ryder did great up until Campbell tried to pick Ryder's nose! ;-) Maybe he had a booger she was trying to get for him.

Sorry, Chad - I had to put this picture on here - it is too funny.

This is my brother trying to get Campbell to pose for the picture. Love it!!!

Piper coming over to check out why Campbell is sitting in the middle of the back yard with a sweater on when it's 95 degrees

Papa wanted a picture of Campbell w/ the new outfit on that he bought her

Olivia is helping Cambpell smile for the picture

Cute picture of Campbell and her daddy (my brother, Chad)

Taylor and Ryder blowing bubbles

This is what happens when you leave a 9 year old unsupervised w/ a bb gun (this is my dad's sliding glass door - soon to be nice, new french doors)

This is what happens when you leave a 1 year old unsupervised for 15 seconds! (His hand got slammed in a toy box - cut his thumb through to the bone - stitches at 11 months) nothing a lollipop can't help

Better than toys!

The kids have been having a lot of fun making forts and mazes with the boxes. Ryder loved being in the box. I took this early one morning - we hadn't had time to fix his hair ;-)
It has been crazy with getting ready to move so I may not be able to blog for a little while - but, of course, I will be taking lots of pictures, so check back soon.

Skating

I was working on my action shots while the boys were skateboarding yesterday. It was such a beautiful day. Finally had a break from sweating!
While taking the shots Olivia got in my
purse....she is such a girl!

Fun in the tub

Ryder loves to bathe and splash!

24 Junkie

Last night was the 5th night in a row that we have watched "24" until mindnight. I never watched it before Luke checked out the first of many series the other night. We got hooked and kept going back
to Blockbuster. I never thought I would like the show so much! Well, anyways - last night was the last episode of the series. I finally slept good knowing that Madid Harwan died and the nuclear bomb didn't go off!!

OOOOKLAHOMA is the place to be

Last posting I couldn't be too detailed as to why we took a vacation in Bartlesville, OK b/c it wasn't officially announced to our congregation, but - now I can. We are moving there - most of you know that already but we couldn't tell everyone until the vote came in. Above is a newsletter that was sent out to the congregation of our new church (I think if you click on it you it will enlarge). Luke will be the "family pastor" there. We are real excited about this position - helping to strengthen families in the church and the community. Luke's first day is on the 17th. I have a lot of mixed emotions. I am excited about Luke's opportunity, but yet I DON'T want to leave our home and our "family" in Hurst. I keep reminding myself that we are here to serve Him and sometimes that takes us to places we would not normally choose and sometimes that takes us out of our comfort zone, but I don't want to be anywhere else than on His path and His direction. I have tried the other "road" and I NEVER want to go back.
He has confirmed this move amazingly. He is blessing us already for accepting His call on our lives. I just love to see how He works! I know that this path will have it's bumps b/c the enemy never wants you to go where He sends you.... but we are prepared.
