Fall Hay Ride

On Friday we went with a group from the church on a hayride. It was so much fun. The property was beautiful and the weather was perfect. It was chilly - but I wouldn't want to be on a hayride and roast hotdogs and marshmallows on a warm day! The kids had a blast! Below are some pictures - I think we are going to make this a tradition for the Melsas.

Birthday week

We have had a great week and weekend celebrating Lane and Ryder's birthday. Lane turned 10 on Wednesday and Ryder turned 1 on Friday. My mom and dad flew into Tulsa and drove to Bartlesville to spend the wknd. with us. We enjoyed eating out a lot, shopping and going to the Woolrock Museum. Lane got a new skateboard and bicycle and Ryder got some new threads. He's stylin' now.
Oh - and one of the best parts of the wknd. was the date night that Luke and I had! We went out to dinner and then saw "The Guardian". Good flick.

First Day of School...again

First Day - (for the boys)
Lane and Cam started at Ranch Heights Elementary school on Monday. Lane said it was awesome. Cam also enjoyed it - not to the "awesome-point" though. Lane has Ms. C and Cam has Mr. C - I can't remember right now their names, but I know they start w/ a C. The school is walking distance from our house! nice.

Olivia also started school this week - she is in preschool and has Ms. Kathy. She already has "5 new fwiends". Tuesday we are headed to the pumpkin patch for a field trip - she is really pumped about that.
It's nice to have the kids in school again and on a routine. I don't know how homeschooling moms do it!

My 32nd birthday

I turned 32 this year. Yikes. Time sure is flying by.

Doug and Leanne had us over to celebrate and she baked me the most wonderful chocolate cake. The kids helped decorate it like usual. I am really going to miss sharing and celebrating birthdays with them!!!! ;-( We have too much fun together.
