Pierced
Yesterday my princess got her ears pierced. This might sound odd - but it was a VERY monumental moment for me. I just wanted to stop time and soak it in. My one girl getting her ears pierced. It just reminds me that our kids are growing up and that we really need to stop and appreciate every "season" of their lives. She will never get her ears pierced again. She will never beg me to hold her hand again being terrified while those very first earrings go in. All about firsts and lasts...
Beginning of Bball Saturdays
Cam's grand entrance! Love those cheerleaders!!
Nice form
Ryder observing the game
The half time devotion
Lane hustling
The hair cracks me up!
Another great shot of the hair! This past Saturday the boys had their first basketball games. They are playing in the Upward league which is run through our church. It is great! They do a devotion at half-time and it is pretty non-competitive, which is great for the boys to start out with. The boys did really wonderful for their first time to ever play. Lane scored 12 out of the 24 points. He got the best offense award and Cam got the best effort award. Olivia and I had fun watching the games. It brought back so many memories from when I played basketball or going to my brother's basketball games. Basketball was one of my favorite sports. I think Saturdays won't be so bad.

What ?!
Does anyone know where my kid's teachers live? Because I am dropping them off at their house in the morning!
I just found out that the schools are closed AGAIN tomorrow!!!!
This is not funny... they don't need anymore bonding time. They need fresh faces, cafeteria food, education...time away from their mama! :-)

Sick again
Ryder had his scheduled check up today with the Pediatrician. Normally in this yucky weather I would reschedule a check-up, but I decided to brave it and go - especially since he has had a nasty cough the past couple of days. Well, boy am I glad I went b/c not only does he have RSV, but now he has pneumonia. Poor little guy. He seems to fight one virus after another. The pneumonia is not bad enough that he has to be hospitalized - thank God. We are doing stronger breathing treatments and going back the day after tomorrow to make sure it is getting better...which it will! So - if you happen to think of the little guy please pray for his recovery. Seems we are at the doctor weekly with him. Bet some of y'all are thinking we should be taking him to the hairstylist instead!1/15/2007
He's Home!!!
Stuck in the house again!
The whole novelty of being snowed in has worn off! Actually, it's not that bad - we have drank more hot chocolate, watched a gazillion movies and made cookies. Hopefully we can get out soon!!

My Precious Aunt Carolyn 1949-2007
I can't believe she's gone. My Aunt Carolyn passed away this morning from lung cancer. I am just so sad. I just can't believe it.
Aunt Carolyn was so much fun. She always loved me unconditionally - even through my wild stages of life. She was my mom's identical twin sister. They were quite a pair. For 10 years they did not speak to each other b/c of something stupid. Thankfully they forgave each other shortly before their mother died in 2006. They have been as close as ever since. I know it meant a lot to Carolyn to have my mom by her side as she has battled cancer for the past year.
We thought Carolyn had more time. We were planning a 5 day cruise with a bunch of family on Feb. 10th. My mom and aunt's birthday is on the 9th - so we were going to celebrate what we were pretty sure would be Carolyn's last birthday.
I was able to talk to my Aunt very shortly before she died and make sure that she knew she would be in Heaven. She assured me that she did know Jesus as her Savior.
Just knowing that she is with Him right now - NOT coughing, NOT in pain is soooo comforting to me right now.
It still sucks though. It really does. I already miss her...

Night at Incredible Pizza
Last night we went to Incredible Pizza in Tulsa with our friends, the Colaws. The kids had so much fun playing games and getting tickets. Here is a pic of Amber and Olivia blowing kisses.
Used the Monochrome again - this is Cam playing my favorite game!
