Can't keep up!

Lane just got back from a week in Austin. He had an entire year's worth of entertainment wrapped up into 1 week. This is what he did w/ his Mimi:
4 wheeling
Zip lining
Jet skiing
Swimming (a few times)
Gattitown
Valente Beach
Bob Bullock museum
Imax movie
Bowling
Played pool
Shopped (got me a cute shirt!)
Played golf with his Papa
Went to Houston, TX to a bday party
Slip-n-slide
Went to Tyler, TX
Saw 2 movies and
Golfed some more.

I am surprised that Mimi is still alive after doing all that.

Kiddie Park....check!

We finally went and checked out Kiddie Park in Bartlesville this week. I LOVE KIDDIE PARK!!! I wish we had something like it in our town when I was little. We took Cam's friend, Nathan who is visiting from Texas. They are border line too old for it - but they are too immature to care. We have heard all about Kiddie Park since we started thinking about moving to B'ville. It is the place for little ones to go - mainly becuase it is so cheap! There is no entrance fee and the rides are 1-2 tickets each. A ticket is 25 cents! Also- we bought a large popcorn. large drink, 2 ice cream cones and a snow cone for $3.25!!!!! Wow! Pretty amazing huh? The whole time we were there I felt like I was in a movie or novel. It is SO small town feeling. Definitely not what I have ever experienced before. I can't wait to go back and take Olivia!!!

What do you think these 2 boys are laughing about???

Family Reunions

I just checked out Mark's blog (worship pastor at FBCH) and he has a post about his family reunion.
I have to say that I am so envious of those who have family reunions. I have told Luke that when we get older and our kids are grown and married w/ kids that I envision our huge family at the park (or better yet, the beach) catching up on life w/ one another. Also, there are a ton of kids running around playing. My prayer is that everyone in our family is speaking to one another ;-) (which has not always been the case in both Luke and I's family) and that all of us have relationships w/ God AND no divorce.

This is what one of Mark's relatives wrote on his blog which I thought was great:
5 Lessons/Reminders from Family Reunions:1. We are different....different interests and different passions, but we have a common thread....WE ARE FAMILY.
2. Life is short and family is vitally important. Carve out more time in the year to all get together.
3. There is a window of time with kids....make the most of it...because they grow up.
4. God has placed us in the families that we are in for a reason....enjoy it....don't take it for granted.
5. Leaving a spiritual legacy and heritage is crucial. As I looked around at the 45 or so of us....I couldn't help but think of the spiritual seeds that were sown years ago into this family.
