Hay, hay and more hay...

This weekend we officially introduced Fall in our family. On Friday night we went to a hayride/weenie roast with all the deacons and church staff. Then on Saturday night we went to another farm for another hayride/weenie roast with the 20's class. It was so much fun! The kids had so much room to run and so much land to explore (and not to mention there seemed to be more kids than adults on both nights). I loved being able to fellowship with church members that I usually don't see on Sundays. We sang worship songs around the campfire and made smores. It was an awesome memory made. Below are some shots I got from the weekend.

There was a really cool old Ford truck on the farm

Had to get Ryder in it!

Both nights were so beautiful. It was a little chilly - but wouldn't be the same if it were hot. Just perfect.

There were animals everywhere at the second farm (The Feslers). I'm not kidding - they had more dogs and cats than we could count, horses, goats, donkeys, some type of turkey looking birds, and I think I even saw a llama! We really didn't smell all that great when we left the farm.

I think the boys used an entire bag of marshmallows just for themselves. Bit of a belly ache by the time we left.

Just felt the desire to get this shot...

She would rather be at the mall.

Morning at the park

This morning I did a photo shoot for a pageant contestant at the park. I happened to get there very early and decided that as I was waiting I would do my quiet time with the Lord. It was so beautiful outside, a little chilly - but very nice. I was sitting in front of a pond watching the geese floating. Everything was so calm and still. It reminded me about how sometimes in our very busy, crazy schedules that God just wants us to be still and focus on Him. It seems so hard sometimes because we think other things have to be done first (i.e. laundry, dishes, etc.) Then I think - how can we place dishes as a higher importance than God?? He gives us every breath we take and yet sometimes I place housework and a bunch of other crap above Him. Anyways - needless to say - the Lord taught me something this morning at the park.
