Second week in Austin

We enjoyed playing over at Chad and Taylor's house. Campbell was good at sharing her Dora truck. Ryder had no idea what was going on. He just put the petal to the metal and stared blankly until he wrecked.

This week wore him out

Tuesday we went with Cam on his field trip to the farm. We got to see lots of beautiful animals including this one.

Cam and his friend were so sweet with Ryder.

Ostrich egg. Funny farm man.

Easter was a lot of fun. We did a scavenger hunt for the big kids and an egg hunt for Ryder.

Lane was so sweet helping Ryder

Everytime one of my boys picks up anything close to resembling a ball - the other one automatically gets nervous.

The park close to our house has an awesome park with walking trails.

We always love playing ball in Papa's backyard

Gotta love this face!

Cam can make drums out of anything. His teacher can attest to it!

Breakin'

Once in TX we took a break in Tyler at my Aunt and Uncle's house that is on the lake. It was a perfect place to break and relax. The boys even got some fishing in.

OK to TX

Luke behind me.

My new best friend

I had to tell Cam 5 gazillion times to "turn it down!"

Olivia was just perfect!

Ryder did great in the car, the DVD player was a life saver. Like his baby doll?

Blaze doesn't do too good in the car. Seems to upset his stomach. It wasn't easy trying to catch the dog's vomit in a bowl while drive 80 mph. oh - and also taking pictures! jk.

Saying good-bye to friends

Before we moved we had a beautiful, warm day so we took the kids and some friends to the park for a picnic and to play. Above and below are some pictures.

Right when we get settled in OK...

Today Luke announced his resignation at FBCB. What a day. SOOO many mixed emotions. Sadness, fear, anger, and excitement. I wouldn't trade the past 14 months for anything - mainly b/c we have met so many wonderful people in B'ville! We have also learned a lot along the way about ministry and churches. What we would do differently next time. God has strengthened us, humbled us and refined us and continues to do so. I really feel like we are starting a new chapter in our lives. It definitely won't be easy and is not what we have chosen, but He is on the throne and has given us so many promises that keep our heads up and a smile on our faces. Come March 15th we will be heading home. Texas. Could be worst...
We covet all your prayers and all the encouragement you have given us!!!
We are claiming:
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which trancends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil. 4:6-7
and
"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Ps. 91:1-2
We are dwelling in His shelter.

Playing around

Below are some pics I got of the boys being goofy in front of Andrea's new Easter backdrop. They were cracking me up. I took about 200 pics because they just wouldn't stop. I got some good material for the slideshow I will play at their wedding!

Quick trip to KC

I took the kids for a quick trip to KC to see my Aunt, Uncle, Cousins and Grandparents. We left Friday after school and got back Saturday night. I love going back to Kansas - brings back so many fun memories. My Aunt and Uncle and my Grandparents still live in the same houses as they did when I was little. I love that! I would love to find a home that Luke and I will stay in until "the end". The same house for my grandkids to come visit us in. I find comfort in that.
(I don't usually let my 2 year old walk in the middle of the street - we were at my Aunt and Uncle's who live out in the country. This was 1 of 5 pictures that I took all weekend! That's a record for me.)
